The Adaro mine site located in South Kalimantan is Indonesia’s largest single coal mine by output. Adaro has a large number of contractors operating light vehicles, busses and a range of auxiliary equipment supporting the large work force with transportation in and around the vast site.
To help gain higher efficiencies of both the work force and the light vehicle fleet, Adaro’s largest mining contactor PAMA (PT. Pama Persada) operating in and around the mine site have installed SNC Technologies GlobalTrack GPS Fleet Management System.
The newest generation of low cost GPS GSM FMS, GlobalTrack Light Fleet Management System will assist site operations management with managing the movement of the mine site work force utilizing LV’s (light vehicles), troop carriers and busses by tracking and sending real-time position data back to the operations dispatch center.
By monitoring, managing and supporting the transportation of the light fleet and the work force more efficiently and in a more safe manner through every shift change, breaks and delays by tracking the vehicles GPS positioning, monitoring speed, delay times, out of bounds and a number of other safety features while at the same time managing and proposing personnel pooling options ensures the vehicles are being utilized to the maximum potential and that personnel are being transported efficiently on time and in a safer environment.
When managing a large fleet it is critical to monitor vehicle KPI’s, delays, down and up times, speeding and fuel usage to help gain efficiencies across the fleet and which, will continuously improve personnel movement cycle times and ensure the right vehicle is utilized to travel to the right place the first time and on time and in a safe manner.
These are just a few of the big challenges large mines deal with on a daily basis, and many more are turning to GPS fleet management technologies to address the challenges while at the same time increasing efficiencies, reducing fuel and personnel costs, enhancing productivity, boosting profitability on their sites while at the same time increasing safety.
GlobalTrack GPS GSM FMS has a wide range of both operational and safety features on its user friendly platform. A vast range of vehicles can be quickly installed with GlobalTrack and can be monitored in near-real-time on the GlobalTrack web based platform providing IoT real-time-data and SaaS with a user friendly KPI dashboard along with a range of standard management reports.
