Corporate Social Responsibility in Indonesia is an important part of PT SatNetCom’s values and long-term commitment to society. Through a series of CSR activities carried out throughout 2025, PT SatNetCom actively contributed to social welfare, education, health initiatives, and disaster relief, particularly in Balikpapan and other regions in Indonesia.
Supporting Orphanages Through CSR Activities in Balikpapan
On 3 January 2025, PT SatNetCom conducted a CSR activity at Panti Asuhan Al-Ikhlas, located in Gang Arema 2, Kelurahan Damai, Kecamatan Balikpapan Kota. During this visit, company representatives delivered assistance as a form of care and support for the children at the orphanage.
The company continued its Corporate Social Responsibility efforts on 17 February 2025 with a CSR visit to Panti Asuhan Nurul Iman, Jalan Indrakila No.76, Gunung Samarinda Baru, Balikpapan Utara, Kalimantan Timur. On this occasion, PT SatNetCom provided financial assistance to support educational needs and daily operational activities of the orphanage.
Strengthening Social Bonds Through Religious and Community Activities
As part of its CSR activities in Indonesia, PT SatNetCom held a Buka Puasa Bersama event with children from Panti Asuhan Assalam, Balikpapan Permai, on 14 March 2025 at the PT SatNetCom office at 16.30 WITA.
The event was attended by all employees and the children from the orphanage, featuring a management address, Qur’an recitation, religious lecture, prayers, and a shared iftar and dinner.
Promoting Health Awareness Through Blood Donation Programs
On 11 June 2025, PT SatNetCom collaborated with Palang Merah Indonesia (PMI) Balikpapan to organize a blood donation event at Ruang Jupiter. The activity was open to employees and the surrounding community.
This CSR initiative reflected the company’s social concern and encouraged broader community participation in helping others in need. The event was well received, with high enthusiasm and a warm, positive atmosphere throughout.
Supporting Inclusive Education in Balikpapan
PT SatNetCom carried out another CSR visit on 1 August 2025 to Sekolah Luar Biasa Negeri (SLBN) Balikpapan, located at Jalan Let. Kol. Polisi H.M Asnawi, Sepinggan Raya, RT 14, Balikpapan Selatan.
The visit was attended by representatives from the HR and Rohis teams of PT SatNetCom as a tangible expression of the company’s commitment to social care and inclusive education.
Disaster Relief as Part of Corporate Social Responsibility in Indonesia
On 18 December 2025, PT SatNetCom provided financial assistance and Starlink devices to STIKES Dharma Husada Bandung to support victims of floods and landslides in the Sumatra region.
This assistance demonstrated the company’s concern for emergency situations affecting communities across Indonesia and aimed to support emergency communication needs while easing the burden on disaster victims. The initiative also strengthened humanitarian collaboration between the company and educational and health volunteer institutions.
Through these initiatives, PT SatNetCom continues to demonstrate its commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility in Indonesia, focusing on meaningful social contributions in Balikpapan and beyond. These CSR activities reflect the company’s dedication to supporting communities, strengthening social ties, and responding to humanitarian needs across the country.
