PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) has secured a life-of-mine extension of its mining services contract with PT Arutmin Indonesia for the Kintap and Asam-Asam mining operations in South Kalimantan. Signed on 19 January 2026, the agreement is valued at approximately IDR 10.5 trillion and covers core activities such as overburden removal, coal extraction, and coal hauling in Tanah Laut Regency. Over the life of the mine, Darma Henwa is expected to manage around 252 million bank cubic metres of overburden and deliver approximately 50 million tonnes of coal, with operations continuing from January 2026.
The contract extension provides long-term operational certainty and is expected to contribute positively to Darma Henwa’s financial performance. Company management confirmed that the agreement does not present any material risk to business continuity and instead strengthens production stability. The renewed partnership also reflects Arutmin’s confidence in Darma Henwa’s mining capabilities and adherence to good mining practices. Moving forward, the company plans to build on its recent turnaround by focusing on efficiency, digitalisation, sustainable expansion, and the gradual adoption of electric vehicles across its mining operations.
