Fuel Flow Meters for Marine Engines

DFM Marine flow meters with interface are used as components in systems for Fuel Consumption Monitoring. Autonomous (battery-powered) flow meters are applied as standalone instrumentation for local monitoring of marine diesel usage.

DFM Marine is installed in the fuel line of the engine/boiler/burner, directly measures fuel consumption, and generates an output signal, which is sent to a telematics unit (GPS tracker).

DFM Marine is used for monitoring fuel consumption and the operating time of the engine and is ideal for all ocean and river vessels.

Fuel Flow Meters for Marine

Why Use Our Flow Meter for Your Marine Engine

  • Spot excessive fuel flows immediately due to over-pumping and leaks, and fix them
  • Spot the over-usage due to excessive vessel accelerations
  • Save money and time
  • Prevent fuel theft
  • Fuel consumption monitoring
  • Achieve optimal operating mode of marine engines
  • Wireless/Bluetooth data transfer

Specifications

  • Measuring Chamber: Made of brass, which is corrosion-proof and highly durable.
  • Body and Fuel Line Connections:
    • Can be made of duralumin (lightweight and inexpensive) or brass (corrosion-proof and more durable).
    • Fuel line connection types – thread or flange – specified in the purchase order.

Operation Modes

  • Differential Fuel Consumption Measurement Mode:
    • Any two units of DFM Marine can be configured from a PC to operate in paired mode without needing to select and calibrate two compatible pieces.
    • Used for measuring fuel consumption in supply and return fuel lines of an engine if necessary.
