In a significant step toward responsible mining in Indonesia, PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NCKL), or Harita Nickel, is voluntarily undergoing the world’s most comprehensive mining audit by the Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance (IRMA). The audit, which began in October 2024, evaluates the company’s nickel operations in South Halmahera for human rights, community engagement, worker safety, and environmental protection.
This move underscores Harita Nickel’s long-term commitment to transparency and sustainable mining practices. The audit’s findings, assessed by independent auditor SCS Global Services, will be made public both locally and via IRMA’s platform.
