Indonesia’s state-owned mining holding company, MIND ID, has reaffirmed its major contribution to the national economy, driving 26.9% of Indonesia’s GDP through integrated mineral and coal operations. Recognized once again in the Fortune Indonesia 100 list for 2025, MIND ID ranks among the top companies in the energy sector, with revenues reaching IDR 145.2 trillion and profits of IDR 40.2 trillion. The company attributes this success to its strategic initiatives in resource management and value-added processing, which align with the government’s Indonesia Emas 2045 vision for long-term national prosperity.
Through subsidiaries such as ANTAM, INALUM, and PT Freeport Indonesia, MIND ID continues to expand its national economy impact with large-scale downstream projects, including the Smelter Grade Alumina Refinery (SGAR) in Mempawah and the Manyar Copper Smelter in Gresik. These projects, valued at over USD 4.6 billion combined, not only enhance domestic resource utilization but also create more than 69,000 jobs across Indonesia. According to MIND ID, such initiatives are vital to strengthening Indonesia’s industrial base and ensuring that the country’s natural wealth contributes directly to the welfare of its people and the achievement of economic sovereignty.
