Advanced Mining Collision Avoidance System for Safer Operations
In busy mining environments, operators often work with limited visibility around large equipment and heavy vehicles. Blind spots, harsh weather, and constant machine movement increase the risk of collisions between vehicles, equipment, and personnel. The MineSafeCAS system is designed to improve site safety by providing reliable real-time object detection and proximity warnings in even the toughest operating conditions.
Unlike traditional systems, MineSafeCAS uses advanced pulsed radar technology to detect both moving and stationary objects. The system offers a detection width of ±120° and a range of up to ±40m. It delivers audible and visual alerts directly to the operator, providing critical reaction time to prevent accidents. Detection zones are highly configurable, typically utilizing a three-tiered warning system:
- Zone 1 (Farthest): Detection up to 25m.
- Zone 2 (Moderate): Detection up to 20m.
- Zone 3 (Danger): Detection up to 15m.

Reliable Detection in Harsh Mining Conditions
Unlike traditional camera-only systems, MineSafeCAS radar sensors continue operating effectively in dust, fog, heavy rain, mud, snow, and low-visibility conditions commonly found in mining operations. The rugged industrial-grade sensors are built specifically for mining and heavy-duty applications, with waterproof protection rated up to IP67 for reliable long-term performance.
MineSafeCAS can be installed across a wide range of mining equipment including haul trucks, articulated trucks, excavators, wheel loaders, service trucks, dump trucks, and mining shovels. Different sensor configurations are available depending on vehicle type and operational requirements, ensuring optimal blind spot coverage for every application.
Vehicle-to-Vehicle and Personnel Safety Protection
The MineSafeCAS Mining Collision Avoidance System supports both vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-personnel safety monitoring. Using positioning tags, alarms, and personnel tags, the system continuously measures the distance between equipment and nearby workers or vehicles.
When equipment or personnel enter a predefined danger zone, MineSafeCAS immediately activates flashing warnings and audible alarms to alert both the operator and surrounding workers of potential collision risks. This proactive warning system helps reduce serious incidents and improves safety awareness across the entire operation.

Integrated Safety and Monitoring Features
MineSafeCAS is designed to integrate easily with existing mining safety technologies and fleet management systems. The system can connect with:
- In-cab displays
- External buzzers and warning alarms
- LED safety lighting
- Camera systems
- Digital video recorders
- Fleet management and monitoring platforms
- Android tablet monitoring applications
- Real-time popup alert notifications applications
- Operational tablet integration
This flexible integration allows mining companies to build a complete site-wide safety solution tailored to their operational needs.
